Happy Wednesday!!!!

I am glad to be almost complete with my doctor appointments this week!! Thank you to all my wonderful friends in the online world who have been praying for me and sending love and HUGS. They are soo appreciated and really comforting during this continued time of health limbo!!! Everything I have gone through this week has gone as well as can be expected and I am just hoping my tummy stops rebelling sometime soon over being poked and prodded soo much!!

What I love about Wednesdays is that it means there is a new sketch up on Let's Scrap!!! This week it is a LO sketch and as always Cheri has done a wonderful job creating a 2 pager that can easily be done in 1 pagers as well!!! 1 pagers definitely suit me and my photos better so I am always happy to get 2 sketches for the price of 1!!!

I have been SOOOO excited about this weeks reveal because it is my scrap page that incorporates my new love of mixed media!!!! Yup, it was time to kick it up another notch and I finally incorporated my love for all things messy into my scrappin'!!!

So, without further ado here is my page:

I Teach

I have been wanting to do a page for so long reflecting my profession as a teacher and the love I have for the children I am blessed to work with in the inner city of Milwaukee. What these kiddos have gone through in their little time here is amazing and I know that when they come into my classroom it is a safe haven from all they are exposed to in their neighborhoods. Using these new lines from Sassafras Lass combined with mixed media was a perfect combo in my opinion.

Here are some more shots of the LO so you can see all the details:

I needed this LO to express me doing more than just teaching these kiddos.... they truly become my own and it is rare if I don't have one or more of them coming home with me on a Friday night after school to hang out for the weekend with me and my family. My DH says it perfectly... each year I get a new class our family grows!!! I covered some dollar store chipboard with Sass papers to create my own letters for this and yes, those are real paperclips. I used gesso, alcohol inks, and walnut ink to create the background.

I just love that little sunshine!!! It really reflects how much my kiddos brighten my day!

I absolutely ADORE this lil' birdy from the nerdy bird collection!!!! Perfect for a LO including my lil' nerdy birds!!! The trees were created using the new Maya Road mini tree stamps and I am in love with them!!! I adore that they worked so well on patterned paper!

Here you can see the dimension of this page and how everything is placed on top of the paperclips.... it was a long process but sooo worth it!

Lastly a shot that doesn't show all to well my journaling so I will share that with you here... the way I want it to read is:
I do more than Teach. I change lives one at a time. I look at each child placed in my care as a blessing and make them my own for the time they spend with me and beyond. I help children see potential in themselves and aid in unleashing it. I am a motivator when it seems like there is no hope. I am a believer of each child being able to do things they never imagined. I do whatever it takes to make sure each child feels and knows they are loved! To keep going no matter what and then I teach!

Thank you for enduring all the many photos of this project.... can you tell it is dear to my heart??! I love these children and am so blessed God has placed them in my life. They are the same age as my own DD and all are now in 4th grade. I still get to work with them at the school and spend much time with them and their families outside of school. God is so good to me to have grown my family by leaps and bounds!!

New Card Sketch at My Sketch World

Hurray for new sketches!!! Lucy posted the March 20th sketches yesterday and they are fantastic!! The DT did an awesome job on both the cards and the LOs. You can check out everyone's reveals on the MSW forum as well as the blog.

Here's the card I came up with for this half of the month's sketch:

I am soo ready for Spring to be here, can you tell?? This adorable paper is from a DCWV stack that my sweetie DD picked out for me for my birthday that's coming tomorrow. I received it early because I have to go in for some procedures and my special day won't really be all that special.... in fact it will probably be downright miserable, but hopefully it will help lead the docs to answers and that is what I need. For all those that stop by and are praying people, I could sure use some special thoughts being sent my way tomorrow! Thanks so much in advance!!

Close up:

Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Scrappin' to you!!! :0)

Lots to Share!!!!

Hi Everyone!!! It has been awhile since I have had the chance to get here and update what I have been up to!!! My health just continues to be shaky so being on the computer isn't all the greatest thing for me! I know God will provide full healing when he is ready and I pray daily for Him to help my doctors have the wisdom to get to the bottom of what's ailing me. In the meantime I keep plugging away and scrappin' when I can!!

I have been a busy little scrapper and will be sharing much with you over the next few days!!

First up, my creations for A Walk Down Memory Lane. This month, not only are the featured manufacturers wonderful (Bella Blvd and Lizzie Anne Designs), but there is also an I Love the 80's crop going on so be sure to join us for all the 80's fun happening there! The DT has posted some wonderful challenges on the blog and you have all month to complete them!! Don't forget to check the forums out as well for some fun games and just to chat with us!

I love working with Bella Blvd products!!! They are always so cheery and fun and I adore their stickers!!! Here are a couple of my creations using the Super Stud line.... such a fun line to work, I love the robots!!

Such a Boy!

Now I know these pics do not necessarily show the better side of my DS, but it truly shows what a fun-loving soul he is!!! My DD took these pictures of him when we were on our way from a summer outting..... what a surprise they were! I love it when the kids take the camera and do their own thing with it!

Close Up:

I used some cutie Maya Road chipboard gears to accent this page and these can be found in the AWDML store, as well!

Awesome:

I just love the colors of this line and don't even get me started about the coordinating stickers!!! LOL!! They are super to work with!

Different Angle:

Don't forget AWDML's featured manufacturers are 25% off this month, so make sure you go grab yourself some Super Stud and other Bella that catches your eye!

Last but not least:

Happy Father's Day:

I'll be back again this week with some more of the Bella creations I have made for A Walk Down Memory Lane along with some other fun stuff from all the great goodies they have in the store!!

For now, we're moving on to what I have been up to for My Sketch World!!

Make sure you go and check it out in the forums or on the blog!! I had a blast using this sketch and it worked wonderfully for the new Cosmo Cricket goodies I picked up from LSS gone Ben Franklin!! I am soo elated to be designing for them!

I Love U Beyond Measure:

Not only is the sketch I used for this card over at MSW, but there are a TON of great challenges, as well as a new contest, and don't let me forget there is a....................................................
