Finally Gettin' My Scrap On!!

It seems like it has been ions since I have been able to scrap! With school starting back for me and my kids still out of school, it has been hectic to say the least!! DH has been great and has taken the kids with him everyday he and I both had to work!!! So thankful I have such a loving man to have spent the last 6 years wed, 11 together. (Today's our Anniversay and he loved the card I made him!! Funny he picked out a card for me that had 2 birdies snugglin' up too!)

So on to my scrappy happenings.........

Some LOs made for the ABC crop. I just cannot believe how quickly this month long crop has gone!! Projects aren't due until Sept. 1st at midnight, so I am in hopes I will be able to get them all done. I'm gettin' there!

Q proved to be Quite the challenge for me!! It was to create a LO featuring a quiet activity. Well, let's just say there are not many Quiet moments in my life!!! LOL!! I really had to dig and search for something I fancied. Finally I found some pics. of my not-so-baby-girl-anymore and thought ok let's make these work.......mind you this is after like days of searching through pics. So I went with what I had.

I really hated the carseat in these photos so I just decided to get crazy with the bellies! Everyone in my family, including me, is shocked that the cut apart BINGO card had DDs birthday digits right next to each other to be encircled!! Crazy!
Supplies: BG patterned paper, Sassafrass patterned paper, K&Co borders and frame, Thickers and MM letters, Jenni Bowlin' BINGO card

The next LO I tackled for the crop was U for a LO about you. I am really not good at these LOs at all, so I decided if I was going to do it, it should be a bit different. I created a LO focusing on some of the little imperfections that make up me. Once you have viewed this LO you are sworn to secrecy!!!! LOL!!!

I really LOVE that this LO reflects the playful carefree attitude I have. I used BG, Sassafrass, and Prima papers, Maya Road journaling circles, Thickers letters, MM letters, K&Co bellies, Me and My Big Ideas word.

Finally, a card....V for violet! UGH!!! I really don't like purple of any shade, so this was a challenge for me. I was delightfully surprised when I actually liked the card I made! Ha!

Supplies: My Mind's Eye patterned papers, buttons from my stash, stamp from Imaginesce, Martha Stewart glitter (no stickles), burlap from stash, buttons from stash

365 Cards #s 169, 170, 172, & 173/ ISC #30

365 Cards

#169 - Sketchy Sunday

I loved the uniqueness of this sketch!! It worked perfectly for this jungle Congrats card for my friend's baby shower!! It also helped me to fulfill the R challenge for the MSW abc crop!! I used red, ribbon, and rub ons!

#170 - Double Duty: A card that doubles as something else

The bag says B is for Baby. The word baby is on the front of a mini card that is attached to the bag! I will SOO be using this idea again!!

#172 - ABC & 123: Create a card using alpha stickers and at least 1 number

DD is going to get this card on her first day that is coming up on the 8th!! She already LOVEs it and will be soo excited when she sees she gets to have it! I used this week's sketch from Let's Scrap as inspiration for this card.

Inspirational Card Sketch #30
#173 - Use 3 ways to incorporate a sentiment

My 3 ways were to use letter stickers, a metal & sign, and a stamped word. I also used this card to complete the T for turquoise and thanks challenge at MSW.

Thanks for the great challenges 365!!

More ABC Crop Creations

I thought it would be a good idea to post the rest of what I have completed for the crop at MSW before I get crackin' on what I need to get done this weekend!!! So many great challenges there!..... so litte time to scrap now that I am back to work! Aaarrrggghhh!! It should get easier when I am dealing less with big people at school and the kids actually start school! LOL!!!!

I have completed challenges up through N and now have O-T to get done this weekend!! I need one of those shock face emoticons here!!! Don't really have anything going on this weekend tho' so I should be able to get my scrap on!!!

Here are my creations for L-N:

L is for Lime Green and Lace, a card challenge

I really LOVE these Prima papers I picked up from Ms on clearance!!! They are fabulous in soo many ways! The friends is from Anna Griffin, and the ribbon is from K&Co.....also both on clearance!! I couldn't believe the deals I got on stuff!! I know just the friend that is getting this card and I am hoping to get it in the mail today!!

M is for Movie Title, a LO

Here are those fab Prima papers again!!! I love how they worked for this LO!! the minute I saw this challenge I knew exactly the pics and movie title for it!! I also had a great sketch from Let's Scrap to use as my inspiration!! I made the tickets myself with stamps and also stamped the little monsters and then cut them out! The filmstrip was made with stamps and then I cut the centers out to place the photos in. I think this is a new fav LO for me!!

Here are a couple of close ups:

The letters I used are from Thickers and MM (tiny alphas), other than those everything is Prima!!

N is for Numbers on a card

I already posted this card, but LOVE it soo much that I am going to again!!! It is going to be given to DH for our anniversary that is coming up on the 29th of this month!

I just adore this line by Basic Grey and it took me long enough to actually get it...... geez..... what was I thinking waiting soo long???? LOL! All the papers are from the Urban Prairie collection, numbers and letter are Thickers, mini alphas MM, and the little bit of raffia is from my stash. Doodled with my handy dandy white signo pen. Cannot wait to give this to him!!!

Thanks for sharing in my journey through the ABC crop.... Now I need to get scrappin'!! :0)

Pile It ON!!! (DAY 165, 2red bananas sketch)

I have been intrigued by the Pile it On blog challenges for a while now because I just find it amazing how many challenges there are out there that I want to do!!!! There is just never enough time in a day tho'! So with school starting back in full force on Monday (no kids yet), I thought I would begin trying to do this a bit more. Today I have created 2 Projects using the Pile it On challenge of the week: create a masculine LO/Card/Project. I decided to do a LO and a card for the boys in my life!!

Here is the card I created using Day 165 from 365 Cards, the Sunday sketch from 2 Red Bananas and the theme is masculine.

I made this for DH to have when he comes home today.....there will be a pan of Brownies to go with! ;0)........he brought home soo many trophies from taking high in everything during his dog competitions. He trains and titles police dogs and Schutzhund Sport dogs. I am soo proud of him. Haven't seen much of him lately, but oh soo proud!!
Supplies: We R Memory, My Mind's Eye, and Prima patterned papers, MM letters, Martha Stewart ink.

Here's the LO I created using Let's Scrap challenge #11 (create a school theme project using at least 3 different bellies and a sketch from the site) and the theme is boy:

This is my kinder cutie that is almost 13!!!! Oh where oh where does the time go???? I just love this pic of him! He always has such great pictures.

Super Exciting News!!!!!!!!!!

So, I have been on pins and needles all weekend......especially since I haven't had the distraction of DH and the kids!! LOL!!!.................waiting to hear who made the new DT at Let's Scrap! I received a Happy email this morning saying I made the team!!!! Woot! Woot!!! I am soo excited. This is the site that got me hooked to online scrappin'!! I am honored and elated to be a part of this team! All the gals there are great and the sketches by Cheri and Kim are amazing!! I soo look forward to inspiring scrappy friends there! Hope to see you there too!!

Inspirational Card Sketch #29

I found this great card sketch site via my girls' blogs, Alecia and Wendi over at MSW!!! Such cool sketches at ICS............ and the cards by the DT are amazing!! This is the first week I am participating and am looking forward to making these challenges part of a weekly routine!

Here it what I created:

I recently discovered I had like NO birthday cards in my stash when I was looking for one!! Since I just got the Basic Grey Cupcake collection........super yummy!!!......... it seemed the time to get started on building up that stash again! All the papers and border are from BG. The cupcake stamp is a dollar one from Ms, tinly alphas are MM.

I'm in the Mood for Cards

Simply because I have been on a roll!! WOW between the challenges from the ABC crop at MSW and discovering some super card sites I've been really pleased! It also helps my anniversary is coming up and I am trying to make that just right card for the best friend I have ever had in my life! There are always so many ups and downs in marriages, but I am soo thankful for a man who stands by my side no matter how sassy I get!! LOL!

Here are a few cards that are made with my sweetie in mind!

I made this one using the August card sketch at MSW!!! I love the stamp set I picked up with this man and woman! It also came with a boy and girl, home, oh lots of cute ones! The papers I used are Sassafrass Whale of a Tale....worked perfect for this! The flowers are Prima I picked up on clearance...WooHoo I love great deals! The I love you stamp came from a Studio G - Hampton Heart little set. So I may give him this one for our anniversary.

I just gave him this one........

He has been working LONG hours trying to get our dogs and client dogs ready for Schutzhun trials. This is a sport for working dogs ad is common for police dogs. My DH trains many police dogs! Really cool!! I'm soo proud of him, but when it comes time for him to get ready to trail dogs, it means lots of time away and lots of rest when he is here......so that leaves everything with the kids, house, and doggies here on my shoulders. It can be trying, but no matter what we always have our love!! So that's why I made him this card. The inside wishes him luck for his upcoming day! He got this yesterday and LOVED it!! YAY! I don't think I have ever seen him smile soo BIG for a card! I was way happy...........half asleep, as it was 4 AM!! LOL!!, but happy!
This was done for the J for challenge from MSW.
Supplies:
Prima marketing patterned papers, bling, and chipboard circles, MM letter, Prima brackets, Prima flower

And here is the newest one I made for the N for Number challenge from the ABC crop.

I really like this one!! I am pretty sure I will be giving him this one for our anniversary!! The patterned papers are Basic Grey - Urban Prairie, letters are MM, and Thickers.

I'm off to make more cards tonight!! Just in that kinda mood............gotta think of a new theme!!! LOL! I must be missing my honey bunches of oats more than I know!! :0) Thanks for sharing inmy anniversary card adventures!

Soo Much to Blog About.........So Little Time...................

now that I had to start back to school!!!! UGH!!! Where did summer go?? We barely got a taste of it here in WI and now that it is really getting warm again, I'm back at school. Bummer, but that's life and I really shouldn't complain because others don't get half the time off as I do. So I just had to make sure I came here 1st today because I have oodles and oodles to share!!

So the first thing I must share is the RAK I have gathered together for the lucky gal who was kind enough to leave me some lovin' on my GDT LO for Let's Scrap. I got some amazing deals at Michael's and just had to share some of my yummy goodness.

Here is what the lucky winner, announced tomorrow, will receive:

YUMMY isn't it??? I am soo appreciative to all of you that have become a follower to my blog and have shared some love with me!! Hope you continue to visit.

Now, I have to share my update from the ABC crop over at MSW. Let's see the last challenges I shared were A-C........well we are already up to J!!!! I have all challenges completed up through H and cannot wait to get started on I and J, but alas work has interrupted my scrappin'....sigh.....

Alright now hat I am done moping......onto my completed work....................

D is for Distressing - card challenge use 2 different distressing techniques.

This was like the fastes card I ever made and it doesn't look half bad!!!! LOL!! I just got this set of tree stamps from Hampton Arts and NEEDED to use them!

E is for event, a LO challenge. Now I could have chosen one of the many events I have yet to scrap about for my kids and the family events as a whole, but I didn't! I just had to one for me, so I scrapped about my.....................................................................................................................
CYBER BUD Sue!! It was soo awesome to meet her and she is my first IRL scrappin' friend, adn can you believe we are both teachers?!! Too cool and so much to chat about all the time....in fact I just saw her ad met another friend from online scrappy land today!
Here's my LO:

I really like that this one reflects how much fun I truly had that day!! I used American Crafts papers, letters from K&Co, and the tree is a stamped up Maya Road chipboard.

F is for 4 Flowers, a card............

So I have to say that this card was truly inspired by my girl Cheryl over at MSW!!!! She had this awesome notebook punch and used it on a card I LOVED!!!!! So want it! Hehe......Anywho, she inspired by not only her design, but to get my butt out with my Ms coupon and get me one!!! So I did! I also picked up a ton of stuff ranging in price from .01 to .97!!! can you say WOW!!!! Today I had to stop back and get a Prima pad of paper that cost 24.99 and stole it for 2.97!!!!!
The supplies I used on the card are: K&Co patterned paper, made the notebook edge with my punch, the Wish You Were Here is Anne Griffin (this came in a variety pack and cost me all of .27!!!), the flowers are Prima (.87 in a big ol' tube), and the buttons were from my stash.

G is for Glitter - Layout challenge

I really love how this one turned out of DH!!

I always struggle scrappin' my boys, it just seems like DDs pages come quicker for me, but this one just flowed for me!! I plan on journaling around the photo, but really wanna have some special thoughts for the best friend I have ever had!
Supplies:
K&Co patterned paper, MM patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, Fancy Pants chipboard, MM letter stickers, Jenni Bowlin Bingo card cut apart, Prima border, lace from my stash, Martha Stewert glitter (I use her glitter paste to cover my chipboard and then sprinkle), I made the flowers with a punch and the buttons are from my stash.

H is for Happy Birthday!!!! A card challenge.

I was soo thankful for this one because it allowed me to get DSs birthday card done early!!! WooHoo, I don't think I have ever had a card prepared this far in advance! LOL! His special day is Sept. 7 and he will be 13!! Sniffle, Sniffle.......I am having issues with having a teen! Where does the time go? This is what I will give him soon:

DS is in to skateboarding and BMX tricks so this grungy card is just perfect for his style rigt now and for turning 13. I think he's going to like it!
Supplies:
We R Memory patterned papers, Lil' davis chipboard numbers, Studio G stamps

Whew!! I really need to keep up on blogging..... I have more I would like to share with you, but I actually need to go visit some friends at MSW and then I probably should gather my materials for the session I am running tomorrow with new staff!!! Nothing like waiting until the last minute!! Until next time, have fun scrappin'!!!! Oh!!!! Don't forget to get your biscuits over to MSW....there is still lots of time to play and all challenges completed will count toward the grand prize!..........It's really good AND there are lots of other prizes flying out the door throughout!

ABC Crop Happenings

The ABC crop at MSW is well under way and lemme tell you we are having a BLAST over there!!!! I am hosting a roaring game of BINGO and it cracks me up everytime I go and see who has and has not gotten words! Challenges A-F are posted and everyone is ROCKIN' this crop. I have completed up through D so far and hope to knock out E and F today too! D is still drying.

Here are the challenges thus far and what I have done with them (A-C)..............................................

A is for AD challenge. There is a rockin' pizza ad posted for this challenge. Since the ad's theme was Italian..... I just had to use a bit of it on my LO!! This is DH and I.....he is Italian/Sicilian and my best friend or my migliori amici!!! I used the colors and general LO of the ad to create this.

Supplies: Cosmo Cricket patterened papers and heart/circle bellies, Prima flowers, and the letters are Thickers.

B is for Blue, Buttons, and Borders....... a card challenge.

I love how quickly this card was pumped out!!!! I literally did it in like 15 minutes! The circles I made were created by a Martha Stewart punch and the stamp came from a baby set I have. The patterned paper is Sassafrass.

C is for Color challenge............a LO to be created with the colors blue and orange.

I just love this color combo!!!! It begs to have summer photos scrapped with it and that is exactly what I did!!

This is DD at the beach!!! She so loves to play in the sand and in this picture I just think she looks like a Lil' Mermaid!! I used Sketch #1 from Let's Scrap for inspiration!

Supplies: Fancy Pants paper, K&Co border, K&Co flowers and butterflies. I made the sun from some FP that I cut. Then I glittered the clouds and sun and finished by placing the ring of beads around the sun.

D is for Distressing, at least two techniques on a card. I have this one done, but it is drying so I'll have to post later.

E is for Event LO. Pick an event and scrap it!!! I have SOO many to choose from!! Sigh....so much scrappin' to be done!!!

F is for 4 flowers on a card. That one should be quick and easy!!

Hope to see you pop over and join the fun!!! There are some really fab grand prizes and there are also weekly prizes along with games that either give you extra draws or a prize themselves.
