Merry Christmas - Preparing for Market

Hi Friends!  I know, I know we haven't even hit Halloween or Thanksgiving and here I am titling a post Merry Christmas.  Alas that is how one must roll when you're preparing for market (I love that my international peeps call it market - much better than craft fairs, etc that we use here so I'm rolling with that too). 

Its especially super when I can double up my creations with DT assignments as was the case with this little hanging decor piece or ornament.  It was created for the new Mood Board Challenge that just went live over at ScrapFX.  What is funny is that upon looking at the board I'd never thought at first I'd wind up with this as my final project - ha!  Really amazing how inspiration can strike at any moment.

These Christmas chippies make it quick and fun to make a variety of joyous projects.  I'm seriously delighting over all I'm making - particularly the process - and love that with just a few alterations I have one of kind creations I hope people will love.  And how about that Instaframe??!  I must admit I was totally tickled when it dawned on me it could be decked out in red and white to mimic a candy cane.  Prior to choosing it I had one with polka dots picked out - this is much better dont'cha think?

Christmas in July Crop Challenge

Hey there Everyone! Happy Friday to you!

The Christmas in July Crop is in full swing at A Walk Down Memory Lane and yesterday was my day to post a challenge. I think my favorite part of Christmas, besides celebrating Jesus' birthday, is decking the halls with lovely decorations. It is always so fun to do this with the family and just puts me in a good mood to look around and see all the things that bring about different memories. So I decided I wanted to help you all get a head start on creating a new decoration for your house for Christmas this year.

My challenge is to create a home decor item with a Christmas theme. I decided to go with a banner since I love them! They are so much fun to make and go really quickly. I also had this in mind because I thought it would be great to hang on our front door to welcome all the guests during the season.

I used Pink Paislee's Mistletoe & Co. collection papers, my Marvy circle punches, some American Crafts Zing! embossing powder on the letters, The Girls' Paperie chipboard letters, and some Ranger distress ink to create this along with some stuff I had in my stash. All the products I listed can be found in the A Walk Down Memory Lane store.

A Walk down Memory Lane Product Review

Hi Everyone!! Happy Saturday!
I have been blessed with the ability to play with many products from the A Walk Down Memory Lane store, but I must say that I am enjoying the Maya Road products the most at this point. I posted a product review on the DT blog this week and wanted to share the creation I made.

I have been wanting to create my own Welcome banner for our house door, but nothing floated my boat until I saw the Maya Road chipboard banner pieces.

Here's what I made for our door:


This project was so quick and easy to make!!! I like the simplicity and the country feel I was able to get by using some Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety papers from the mini deck.
