My 1st Completed Challenge!!

Lots of things seem to be interrupting scrapping these days, but I pray the good Lord will bring relief soon and things can get back to normal... or at least our family's version of it!! LOL!!

So I was happy when I was finally able to sneak some scrappy time in and complete one of the MSW Holiday Rewind Crop Challenges. I was able to get to Wendi's Let It Snow LO. Her recipe called for using a picture of snow.... I have oodles of these from our numerous snowy days here!.....to use blue on your page, ink other than black and brown (oooooo, tough one!), use a snowflake, use something sparkly, and use a quote.

Here is what I came up with:

I used oodles of blue on this LO, my inks were white and blue, I used snowflake brads, the letters, snowflakes, and journaling spot are sparkly, and I used a quote from Cosmo Cricket.

My patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye, Cosmo Cricket, and Imaginesce. te letters are Thickers and AdornIt, and the ribbon and brads are from MM.

It's Crop Time!!!!

At MSW!!!! WaHoo!!

The Holiday Rewind Crop has just started and it is going to be a blast!!! Lots of great challenges posted already and more to come tomorrow. The crop will last all month long, so hop on over and check it out!

Today was my day to post a challenge. I went with a Make-A-Scene challenge. The idea is to create a scene, incorporating your pictures, using different elements on your page.

Here is my example:

I created my scene by using the blue snowflake paper for my sky, the brown for the ground, adding trees, a house, snowman, and some additional snowflakes. There you have my version of a winter wonderland!!

MSW - January 2 Reveal

I am soo happy Lucy took a wll deserved day off with her family yesterday and postponed putting out this sketch.... however it was very hard to wait an extra day for the reveal!!! LOL!!

Here is the spectacular sketch at MSW:

And here is my take on it:

The DT was able to play with some digital stamp images from The Cutting cafe' for this month! Lots of "sweet" stamps were sent to me and I loved playing with them! The papers I used for this LO are from Sass and the letters were bare naked Maya Road, which I covered with ink and then glitter from MS.

Here's my take:

I love the challenge Pam's sketches provide me.... I always have to think out of my card maker box!!! :0) Thanks for the inspiration Pam! :0)

365 Cards - Day 303

Happy New Year!!! Hope everyone has had or is having a wonderful celebration. DH, the kids, and I all made it til' midnight!!! A first around here.... my kids are getting big! DD did have to go up to her bed at 11:50 and just lay there until the new year tho'!! LOL! She yelled Happy New Year st 12:00 and then it was immediately quiet! ;0)

Day 303 - With a Flourish
So I rang in the new year watching my kids and DH play the Wii from my scrap table. Day 303 at 365 cards was all about the flourishes.... you had to use at least 3!!! I really struggled with trying to get 3 flourishes on this card..... I don't really do flourishes by themselves, let alone in 3's! But, I am pleased to say I accomplished this challenge and love the card I came up with!!!

Here is my card:

I also used a Tic Tac Toe challenge from Audrey at MSW to make this card. Her requirements were to have only cardstock, use at least 2 ribbons, and to emboss something. The white cardstock is embossed with little flowers, but it is hard to see in the photo.

I used cardstock from stash for this project.... the white is American Crafts.... The velvet ribbon is MM and the bow is from my stash.... the dress and sentiment stamp are from Inkadinkado, picked them up on clearance from Michael's!! Great deal! :0) The flourish stamp is from G Studio and the rhinestone is from my stash.
